Eyebrow threading is a practice of shaping eyebrows using a thread. Threading is more effective and less painful than tweezing; hair re-growth becomes finer and sparser after regular treatments. It’s better than waxing as the top layers of skin are not peeled or traumatized in this process. Threading is ideal for creating a defined and specific shape. The procedure involves the therapist using a piece of cotton thread that is to be wrapped around her thumb and the index finger and then twisted around the hair in the direction of the hair growth. As the surrounding skin is pulled tight to minimize discomfort, the thread is used to lift the hair out in a much more precise and delicate style. The feeling on the skin is a small pinch but the results are a pair of shapely and neater eyebrows. Threading can also be done on upper lip, chin and full face. Threading is a dermatologist approved for those with sensitive skin because the technique is non invasive. This also means that your skin will be red for less time than other hair removal methods.
